WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY CHARTER?

For the greatest choice of yachts with availability for your preferred dates, we recommend booking at least three to six months in advance – or up to 12 months for charters in remote destinations. Should the idea to charter be last-minute, as in 30 days, you can still rely on us at Papillon Charter Cruises to find you a desired yacht.  We will always aim to please.

HOW LONG CAN MY CHARTER LAST?
As long as you wish! Most charterers book for periods of 7-10 days at a time. However many clients book for 3-9 weeks and more, with their sets of guests changing every few weeks. An increasing number of clients also book longer for more extensive trips which include onboard tutoring for children and fully operational office set-ups. In some circumstances, yachts can even be booked for one day.
WHAT ARE HIGH RATE & LOW RATE WEEKS?

High week rates are, as you can imagine, when the most amount of demand for yachts is in play, these periods include July and August and special event periods such as the Monaco Grand Prix, Cannes Film Festival, Christmas and New Year. Low rates are offered at all other times. Your Papillon Charter Concierge will be able to give you the precise rate for your requested period.

CAN WE STAY CONNECTED WHILE ON BOARD?
Most modern motor and sailing yachts have internet connectivity where geographically available. In well-connected areas, entertainment, phone connection, gaming, entertainment, TV + satellite are easily accessible.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO TAKE MY DOG ON BOARD?

Dogs and pets are considered on a case-by-case basis. Some yachts are open to allowing animals. Your Papillon Charter Concierge will advise you as to which yachts can accept pets, and we will negotiate on your behalf with your preferred yacht to see if it possible. A security deposit is normally required and you are asked to take care of your pet throughout your charter.

HOW MANY GUESTS CAN I INVITE FOR MY CHARTER?

For the majority of charter yachts, depending on their size, regulations permit up to 12 people sleeping on board. However, some large yachts are permitted to sleep more. In some cases, extra guests are allowed on board during the day (this is known as the number of guests ‘cruising’), but they must disembark overnight (the number of guests ‘sleeping’ will be specified). A different set of rules apply for yachts that are moored during an event with some able to host up to 100 guests or even more. Your Papillon Charter Concierge will always be able to advise you on the rules.

CAN I SMOKE ON BOARD?
This differs between yachts. If smoking is allowed, it is outside only.
